Lexus Teases LF-Z Electrified Concept Car – WOW

I’ll keep things short and sweet. Lexus has a clear direction and design language that is bold and brave. Look at their latest lineup of cars (or check out our recent reviews) if you want to see what I’m talking about. When you look at cars like the LC 500, one of my favorite productions cars on the road, it’s clear this design language can make some absolutely jaw dropping cars.

With that being said, the newest prototype tease is the equivalent of LC 500 beauty in a more extreme (if that was even possible) form of an SUV. The LF-Z concept car is the blast of spice the electric SUV market needs. Sure electric cars can be fast, but they often look very pedestrian, preferring pure aerodynamics over beauty. I’m sure the production version of the LF-Z will be “softened-up” a bit, but anyone that remembers the LC 500 launch will attest that Lexus preserves more of the prototype essence and design in production form than most brands. I only hope that’s the case here because, my God, this vehicle looks amazing.

Lexus aims to introduce 20 new or improved vehicle models including BEVs, PHEVs, HEVs, and other electric vehicles by 2025. That’s not as far away as you think, so expect more launches as soon as this year. They’ve even established a new business and technical center that integrates development, design, production technology, and planning departments, to further promote innovative vehicle development. These are truly great times in the automotive world.

Lexus claims the new LF-Z concept is symbolic of Lexus’s brand transformation which incorporates driving performance, styling, and advanced technology set to be realized by 2025. I’m glad 2020 is over, but I’m really looking forward to 2025! Expect a lot more information to come on new models soon. For now, here’s some more eye candy…
