ROCCAT Elo X Stereo Headset Review – The $50 Value King

The Roccat Elo X Stereo is a remarkable headset for $50. With any analog headset, you are only as good as your source. When using a decent quality headphone amp the Elo X Stereo truly shines at this price point. With class-leading build quality, a great mic, and a surprising level of sound quality, it’s hard to fault it for anything at this price.

This headset uses a 3.5mm TRRS cord so it will work with any modern gaming console controller, PC, Mac, phones with headphone jacks, etc. Roccat also includes a splitter to separate the mic and speaker signals for PC use with soundcards that require two separate jacks. The total cable length with the splitter is 7′, and 4′ without. The included mic is detachable, and identical to all new Elo headsets from Roccat.

At the end of the day this is a basic headset with regards to features, but punches well above it’s weight at $50. The ski-goggle style headband is extremely comfortable and the metal headband construction is durable. The sound quality is much better than I could have ever expected at this price point, so when you factor in sound quality, comfort, and durability it’s a no brainer!
