I’ve been writing about XGIMI in the past, as they have been growing rapidly here in the US. With new models, high ratings, and great tech at reasonable prices, there are multiple factors contributing to their success. Perhaps one of the best examples of their success comes from today’s announcement of Best Buy carrying their products online now.
Being sold at B&H, and now Best Buy, should help address some peoples concerns on the long term support and brand strength with long term ownership. It’s not just reviewers that are enjoying their products, but customer reviews on multiple sites are sharing high praise and enjoyment. Overall, I love their form factor and design. They actually have useable speakers, helping greatly with those “pop-up” theater situations. They all run Android TV OS which is great because apps are plenty and often updated. If you aren’t familiar with what XGIMI offers, I suggest taking a look at some models on BestBuy.com. They are on sale this entire weekend for the new launch! Otherwise, here’s a quick overview:
XGIMI Halo+ 1080p Projector: Retail price of $849.99 (sale of $749.99). Can run on battery for up to 2.5 hours. Supports 1080p and up to 200″ screen sizes with a 60hz refresh rate. 26.5ms latency in Game Mode Boost allows gamers to enjoy fairly respectable latency on a big screen. The LED bulb is rated for up to 25,000 hours without requiring maintenance, and has an output of 900 ANSI lumens. It has auto keystone to simplify screen setup, Bluetooth 5.0, USB, and HDMI. It also runs Android TV OS and supports Disney+, Netflix, HBO Max, and more.

XGIMI Horizon 1080p Projector: Retail price of $999.99 (Sale of $849.99). Includes dual Harmon-Kardon speakers (2 x 8 Watt) built in. Like the Halo+, the Horizon also features auto screen setup, including keystone and autofocus. The Horizon also adds Ethernet support in addition to a big increase in brightness, with 2200 ANSI lumens at your disposal. The Horizon features Optical, dual USB, dual HDMI (ARC), ethernet, and 3.5mm, and Bluetooth 5.0. Android TV OS is also included, so you can run all the latest streaming apps without needing anything extra.

XGIMI Horizon Pro 4k Projector: Retail price of $1899.99 (Sale of $1599.99). The Horizon Pro also includes dual Harmon-Kardon speakers (2 x 8 Watt) built in. This is very similar to the Horizon (hence the same name + Pro), but offers a much sharper picture, thanks to 4k resolution. The same 2200 ANSI lumens is found, which is great for having a decent screen size with a couch-side lamp. The Pro includes Optical, dual USB, dual HDMI (ARC), Ethernet, 3.5mm, and Bluetooth 5.0. Like the prior two models, it too features Android TV OS.
